The drive's innovative automatic CAV/CLV read/write mode selection ensures small files are accessed quickly using CAV (constant angular velocity), while large files are transferred using CLV (constant linear velocity) for faster transfers. The dust resistant design and automatic lens cleaning ensure high reliability in a variety of environments. Power consumption is low, so the drive won't over-tax a PC or server's power supply. Industry standard SCSI-3 LDV 160 interface ensures easy interfacing with other popular high-end storage components.
